Two dozen… in a row.
For the last two-and-a-half decades, the Lander Valley boys swimming team has been the best. The Tigers kicked off the 2020’s by winning another state 3A swimming championship.
Action concluded Friday afternoon in Laramie with LVHS well on top of the standings. Lander’s lead was never in jeopardy as they were up by more than 100 points throughout the entire day. Powell finished second and Buffalo took third overall.
Individually, sophomore Jonny Kulow set a new state record in the 100 yard free and the 100 yard backstroke. The Tiger 200 free relay team of Nolan McFadden, Jonny Kulow, Teancum Whiting, and Ryan Brinda also set a state record.
