26-year-old Fremont County resident facing two charges for child pornography
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Michael Woodward, 26, of Fremont County, is facing two felony counts of sexual exploitation of children after child pornography was found in his possession.
One count is for knowingly possessing child pornography – has a maximum penalty of imprisonment for no more than 10 years, a fine of no more than $10,000, or both. The second count is for knowingly delivering child pornography – has a maximum penalty of imprisonment for no less than 5 years and no more than 12 years, a fine of no more than $10,000, or both. Woodward waived his preliminary hearing on December 3rd, 2019. The case has now been transferred to District Court for arraignment.

Court documents describe an investigation starting in August 2019 into a Tumblr account “containing apparent child pornography.” Over ten pornographic images allegedly involving girls under the age of 10 were found to be linked to Woodward.
The Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) and the Riverton Police Department interviewed Woodward on November 7th, 2019, where he allegedly “admitted being in possession of the child pornography, as well as sharing the child pornography with another Tumblr user…”
Woodward’s District Court hearing as been scheduled for January 2nd, 2020.
