7,831 calls for service in 2019

Fremont County Sheriff Ryan Lee shared his department’s monthly update and a few year-end statistics at the January 14th, Fremont County Commissioners’ meeting.

There were a total of 185 bookings during the month of December. The Riverton Police Department had the highest number of bookings at 88 with the FCSO coming in second with 51. Followed by LPD with 32, WHP with 8, USM with 1 and finally SPD with 1.

211 inmates are currently in custody with 209 of them at the Fremont County Detention Center. Two are in custody at neighboring county detention centers. Only 30 of those in custody have been sentenced. 179 are pre-adjudicated.

Sheriff Lee shared there were 2,452 bookings in 2019. That number is around 100 less than previous years. There were also 7,831 calls for service in 2019 as well. Search and Rescue had 31 operations in 2019 compared to 22 in 2018.
