#Activate10: Ice fishing derby benefit for local 4-year-old next week

by | Updated Jan 3, 2020 at 4:26PM

Our community is large and wildly diverse, which is at the same time our strength and our weakness. #Activate10 is a movement seeking to increase communication between individuals and organizations across Fremont County and to promote positive action in our communities.

Proceeds from this years’ ‘Midvale Benefit Ice Fishing Derby’ go to the family of 4-year-old Callia Scribner. Callia has been diagnosed with pediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndrome (PANS) and with that comes a large amount of medical and travel expenses to different specialists in other states.

The derby will be held at Ocean Lake beginning Friday, January 10th at 12:00 pm and ending Sunday, January 12th at 10:00 am. The cost to participate is $15 and you can sign-up at the Midvale Store.

A red and green chili cook-off is at 1:00 pm on Sunday, January 12th at the Midvale Bar & Grill.

Following the cook-off, trophies and prizes will be presented. As well as a silent auction, and raffle drawing. Raffle tickets are available at the Midvale Store, Possum Pete’s and Cedar Bar.

The most up-to-date information can be found on the 9th Annual Midvale Benefit Ice Fishing Derby Facebook page.
