Our community is large and wildly diverse, which is at the same time our strength and our weakness. #Activate10 is a movement seeking to increase communication between individuals and organizations across Fremont County and to promote positive action in our communities.

Special Olympics Riverton hosts an annual Steak Dinner as its largest fundraiser of the year. Attendees are treated to a delicious dinner, have the option to bid on silent and live auction items, meet the athletes, and so much more throughout the evening.

The Riverton athletes picked “Wonderful Wyoming” as this year’s Steak Dinner theme. The event is held in St. Margaret’s School Gym, starting at 6:00 pm on Saturday, April 18th, 2020. The Riverton Fire Department and Riverton Police Department have once again partnered with Special Olympics Riverton to help at the fundraiser.

Individual tickets and corporate table (8 seats) tickets are available for purchase now. Individual tickets are $50 each, and corporate table tickets are $500. Ticket information can be viewed here: Special Olympics Riverton – Wonderful Wyoming

Silent and live auction items are also needed. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation, please contact Amanda Fehring at (406) 239-3707 or email her at [email protected]

Money raised from the event stays in the community to provide year-round sports activities for Riverton athletes. The activities develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, bring joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.

The athletes work hard year-round to raise money to travel across Wyoming throughout the year to participate in the summer, fall, winter, and spring area games. Quite often, you can find them hosting a car wash, selling raffle tickets, passing out flyers and so much more.
