#Activate10: Two new food pantries set up in Lander for those in need

Our community is large and wildly diverse, which is at the same time our strength and our weakness. #Activate10 is a movement seeking to increase communication between individuals and organizations across Fremont County and to promote positive action in our communities.

A local community member, wishing to remain anonymous, has set up two food pantries around Lander to help the community during this time. One is located at the corner of 6th and Washakie Streets and the other is outside of The Orchards Church at 183 Main Street.

A message from the community member:

These food pantries will hopefully be a blessing to someone who is unable to buy food at the store, or can’t make it to the food bank or the First Stop Help Center.

They ask those who take food items, to please restock with another item when they are able to, and please leave food for others to enjoy as well.

They would like to keep this around as long as possible, and are asking other members of the community who are willing to donate small and non-perishable items, please feel free to put food inside the food boxes, and please make sure to close the door.
