#Activate10: Vandalized memorial replacement and reward fund setup for donations
Our community is large and wildly diverse, which is at the same time our strength and our weakness. #Activate10 is a movement seeking to increase communication between individuals and organizations across Fremont County and to promote positive action in our communities.

The Battle Cross Memorial for Command Sergeant Major Kevin Griffin at the Veterans Memorial Park in Riverton was vandalized sometime around November 7th last week. An outpouring of community members, businesses, and veterans who served with CSM Griffin have reached out wanting to make donations for the repair or rebuild of the memorial.
This week, a website for Veterans Hall was created with a link to a PayPal account for donations. There is also a possibility a GoFundMe campaign will be started. If so, a link to that will be added to the website as well. Check and cash donations can be dropped off at the Riverton Depot Foundation or Veterans Hall in Riverton weekdays between 9:00 am – 1:00 pm.
There are two funds the donations will be delegated to, organizers Pat Lawson and Jim Arndt shared. The first is for the rebuild or repair of the memorial. The second is for a $5,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the vandals. They ask donors to specify which account they would like their money to fund.
If you know the individuals involved or have any information about the vandalism, please contact RPD at (307) 856-4891.
