American Solar Car Challenge 2020 route includes Lander again
Last summer, dozens of fascinated Fremont County residents came to admire and inquire about the American Solar Car Challenge.
Vehicles powered only by their solar panels and a reserve battery raced from Nebraska to Oregon last summer with a pit stop in Lander. 14 teams from across the globe parked participated in the race.
This week, the American Solar Car Challenge announced their summer 2020 race will again include a trip through Wyoming.
July 18: Start Line at The Independence Square (Independence, MO) – will also host a display day on July 17
July 18: Checkpoint at Brown v. Board of Education National Historic Site (Topeka, KS)
July 19-20: Stage Stop at Stuhr Museum of the Prairie Pioneer (Grand Island, NE)
July 20-21: Checkpoint at Scotts Bluff National Monument (Gering, NE)
July 22-23: Stage Stop at the Fremont County Pioneer Museum Lander Wyoming (Lander, WY)
July 23: Checkpoint at the The National Oregon/California Trail Center in Montpelier, Idaho (Montpelier, ID)
July 24-25: Stage Stop at the Herrett Center for Arts & Science (Twin Falls, ID)
July 25: Finish line at JUMP Boise (Boise, ID)
