Kanye West announced earlier this month he moved his clothing and shoe brand headquarters, Yeezy, to Wyoming. Twelve job openings ranging from 3D Designer to Footwear Stitcher have recently surfaced for the relocated headquarters in Cody.
For the most part, the listed jobs will be difficult to fill locally, the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services (WDWS) in Cody shared. As of right now, they are not assisting in Yeezy’s employee search. They did share, conversations have happened about possibly using pre-hire grants to bring people not only from across the U.S. but internationally to fill those positions. “Everything has been relatively quiet in regards to the jobs.” WDWS is unclear about their role in the process of the pre-hire grants if that plan moves forward.
The Wyoming Business Council has not been part of this process either, Northeast Director Amy Quick shared. She is hopeful this will have a positive impact for all of Wyoming.

Aside from the Yeezy headquarters, Kanye continues to purchase Wyoming real estate. He reportedly bought a second ranch outside of Greybull not that long ago. He also has plans to build an amphitheater on his Cody property, and after a last-minute change, the building permit was denied this week.
