Lander Valley High School student wins statewide contest

Lander Valley High School (LVHS) senior Laura Browning’s “I Voted” sticker design beat out the other top two designs in the state with a total of 575 votes.

The sticker celebrates the 150th anniversary of the passage of women’s suffrage in Wyoming and Louisa Swain’s historic vote. Laura’s design will be used during the 2020 Wyoming Election Cycle.

LVHS has been very supportive of the process, Laura shared. Her Government teacher knew she was an artist and urged her to design a sticker for the contest.

“When I found out I was in the top three, it was pretty cool. But winning is really cool,” Laura said.

Congratulations, Laura!
