First Interstate Bank presented the Water for Wildlife® Foundation a check for $10,000 today, November 1st, 2019. The funds are for a wildlife conservation exhibit planned to open in spring 2020.

Building renovations were completed this past summer and opened up the front of the museum for exhibits about wildlife conservation education. Exhibit plans are underway and include a local artist who will create a large mural depicting the typical desert-like landscape and a real guzzler, just like what is in the field, will be placed under the mural with catchments and running water imitating rainfall.

“Upon completion, visitors will be able to see a working guzzler depicting how these water projects function in remote arid areas,” said Vickie Hutchinson, Executive Director at Water for Wildlife® Foundation. The exhibit will be a working example of conservation in action.

Area where the exhibit will be located.
