LVFD confirms one deceased from injuries sustained in December 18th house fire

A structure fire was reported at approximately 10:30 am on December 18th, on Northside Drive in Lander. Lander Volunteer Fire Department Chief Bobby Johnston shared, “Fire crews arrived at the scene to a residential, single-wide mobile home fully involved with fire.”

Johnston confirmed today, December 23rd, the two occupants inside the residence at the time of the fire both sustained severe burn injuries. “Both victims were life-flighted to the University of Utah Burn Center. One of the occupants did succumb to injuries the following day.” Their names have not yet been released.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Wyoming Fire Marshal’s office.
