Max Joseph Freed (Alcaraz) passed away November 6th 2019 @ Baylor St. Luke’s Medical center in Houston TX at the age of 23. Max died due to lung failure from complications of Cystic fibrosis.
He was born January 31st 1996 in Cody Wyoming to Dominic Alcaraz and Neva Lynn (Freed) Delp. Max lived in Williston ND with his mom Neva and spent the summers with his dad Dominic. He attended school in Williston where he graduated in 2014. After Graduation he became a heavy equipment operator for his grandfather’s business.
In July of 2017 Max received a double lung transplant. During that time he met the love of his life Sierra Oas to whom he was engaged to on November 24th 2018. Max and Sierra Married on October 26th 2019. Max enjoyed caring for his animals and loved his dog Ash. He loved being around family, friends, working on his truck and eating Mexican food especially his Angie mom’s cooking. He had a good sense of humor and was always quoting his favorite movies.
Even though he was ill he never let it get him down & pursued his goals tirelessly. He enjoyed attending family events and traveling with family when he was able. Max was proud of his new bride and was excited to introduce her to the family. He was a kind brother, a good friend and a good son.
Max is Survived by his wife Sierra Freed, Father Dominic and his Angie- Mom, Siblings Dometrio, Alejo and Aurora Alcaraz Mother, Neva Delp and step father Kevin Delp Step siblings, Riley and Lane Delp. Grand parents Lauro Alcaraz, Tom and Gwenda Freed, Jon and Becky Steinke. Max also had many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Services for his Wyoming Family will be held on Saturday November 16th at 11am in Riverton Wyoming at the Reach foundation.
