There was standing room only today, December 5th, 2019, at the dedication of the new Red Wolf Child Care Center in memory of Norman Willow, Sr. This center is the legacy of Norman’s vision for taking care of children for generations to come.
“Norman viewed our children as our most precious resource,” Master of Ceremonies Kalen SunRhodes shared. “His vision became our work. As the workdays progressed and we began to see the physical reality of the building against the backdrop of the Wind River Range fulfilling Norman’s vision.”

The new center will be able to care for up to 250 children and operates twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week addressing a top employment barrier for tribal members. Separate rooms based on age are provided for children ranging from newborns to 10-year-olds. Each room will have age-specific educational and recreational activities. Subsidies are also available for the center through the Northern Arapaho Nation Department of Social Services, Child Care & Development Fund for qualifying families.
More information on the center can be found in our earlier post.
