The Riverton Chamber of Commerce, Riverton Jaycees, and the City of Riverton Community Engagement Committee have come together and launched ConnectRiverton, a website aimed at coordinating various COVID-19 relief efforts.

The site acts as a portal for everything from donations, both financial and material, gift card purchases and even social-distancing compliant community events.

“We are working hard to emphasize the RivertonConnect Fund [on the site]. All donations made go directly to Riverton families or individuals affected by COVID-19,” wrote Chamber Director Ashley Strickland in and email to County 10.

On the RivertonConnect site, it states the three groups came together and “created the RivertonConnect Fund which is dedicated to helping our Riverton residents in this time of need. We are taking item donations such as hand sanitizer, non-perishable items, cleaning supplies, and toilet paper. We are also taking monetary donations. All monetary donations go directly to help individuals and families impacted by COVID-19.”

Financial contributions can be processed on the website and an email is provided to connect with someone regarding material donations.

The website also has shop local information, helpful resource links, info on SBA loans for businesses, job information, and an events section.

A coalition in Lander recently shared their similar initiative called Lander United. Read about it here.
