Shoshoni Student Council organized several fun donation-based things for students to do last week and through that raised $2,400 for Make-A-Wish Wyoming.

This year, there was a coin drive to pie a group of teachers, shared Student Council Co-Advisor Teresa DeWitt. There were also dress-up days during the week. Students could donate a $1 to wear hats or play fun games to win small prizes during lunch. “In the mornings you could purchase a Make-A-Wish star to put your name on and get a doughnut or hot chocolate.”

Since 2011, Shoshoni students have held a yearly ‘Wish Week’ to raise money for granting wishes for children with critical illnesses in Wyoming. “Our total for the week this year was $2,400 which is a fantastic amount coming from the small school that we are,” Teresa said.
