#Snapped: ‘Bucks of the Rut’

by | Updated Nov 22, 2019 at 4:44PM

h/t Karl Brauneis for the below reminder and photos

The deer will not be looking out for you so you need to be looking out for them. Deer are often gathered in close proximity to roads and highways this time of year. Often, does are chased across the road by bucks during the rut. Please pay particular attention for deer crossing the Sinks Canyon to Lander road. Many rock climbers depart at sunset for the drive into town while town commuters depart for their homes in the country. Visibility at dusk is at it’s worse and this is often the peak time for deer movements.

Please, Slow Down and Drive Safe.
