Survey suggests Wyoming’s Governor is nation’s most popular

According to a report by Morning Consultants, Wyoming may have the most popular Governor in the nation.

According to a poll they conducted among Wyoming voters, Gordon has a 69% approval rating, and an 11% disapproval rating. Gordon is tied with Larry Hogan from Maryland, and Charlie Barker from Massachusetts. All three are Republicans. Vermont and New Hampshire’s Governor’s round out the top 5 in popularity.

Hawaii Governor David Ige is the “most unpopular” according to the survey with a 32% approval rating, followed by Kentucky and Rhode Island Governors.

Gordon is the 33rd Governor in Wyoming history. He took over for Matt Mead in 2019. Mead and Gordon are the first back-to-back elected Republican Governors in Wyoming since Clifford Hansen and Stanley Hathaway were elected in 1967 and 1975.
